Daralin Dotts, Director of Sales

A veteran expert with James Event Productions she began her career here in 1984. Her goal that year was to sell her first 20 picnics and when she reached number 23 she knew she was hooked.

Today she produces over 150 events each year and her favorite client’s are her corporate groups who plan events from 50 to 10,000 guests.   Every day is a new day to challenge her creativity to create the most memorable and custom event for each and every client. On the weekends you will see her managing multiple events coordinating everything from the fantastic entertainment to the delicious food and large scale events are her specialty.

Her lasting relationships with repeat clients keep her going and inspired to find the next great theme she can create.

When she is not planning a party you will find her swishing down the ski slopes in Tahoe or Fly fishing with her husband in faraway lands like Patagonia and Alaska.

Donna Steele

Donna Steele, Senior Account Executive

Donna has been with James Event Productions, Inc. for over 20 years and in the event business for over 26.  She started out as Office Manager and moved into sales where she currently resides.  She manages all aspects of an event including the initial contact and sales, catering, entertainment, rentals and management on the day of the event.  Her experience makes her a great source to create a successful event with guests ranging from 50 – 15,000 guests.  She works with many professional venues to represent and create a great working relationship between client, location and James Event Productions.  Donna is equipped to produce any type of event.  She enjoys the Philanthropic side of the business and has created successful events for The Magic Johnson Foundation, Children Uniting Nations, Project Cuddle, Camp Ronald McDonald just to name a few.  We have a great relationship with all school districts and do many local nonprofit events to subsidize their budgets.  Corporate clients include Auto Club, Dreyer’s, Armstrong Gardens, Sasco, Avalon Bay Communities, Nickelodeon, Fed Ex and many more.  She is a good standing member of Meeting Professional Internationals and attends monthly meetings.

Heather Schroeder, Creative Director /Senior Account Executive

Heather Schroeder has a fun and successful 25 years in the event planning industry.  She joined James Event Productions part time in 1989 and upon completing her BFA from Otis Parsons joined us full time as an Account Executive.  From the beginning she focused on personal clients who were looking for a leader in event design with a focus on a strong creative blueprint.  Heather was responsible for developing and expanding the capabilities of the company and did so by pushing the boundaries of what kind of events the company executed.  She is a pioneer in taking the company to the next step of corporate events.  Typical production duties include: concept and branding, logistics, entertainment, rentals, catering and all phases of production necessary to execute the clients concept.  Her productions include stylish personal and professional parties, multi day seminar and training experiences, grand openings, corporate family gatherings and fundraisers.  With personalized attention and outstanding execution, Heather has nurtured a loyal client base with Fortune 500 companies, discriminating private clients and the nation’s top nonprofit organizations.  Her patrons include Allianz, Kaiser Permanente, SCPMG, Google, CHOC, American Cancer Society, PCRF, and JDRF.  Recently she fulfilled a clients request to negotiate a multi day event with 70,000 invitees and she is just as comfortable working with groups of 7000, 700 or 70.  Heather is an avid skier, scuba diver, traveler and artist who is passionate about both her family and her profession.

Jason Thibert

Jason Thibert, Senior Event Director and Marketing Captain

Jason joined the James Event Productions, Inc. team in 1995, working part-time while completing his education.  During that time he quickly excelled up the chain from general picnic staff, to rides operator, to event technician, and finally to event manager where he was in charge of running our highest impact event locations.  Jason became our Staffing Director in charge of recruiting, hiring, training and staffing our events.  In 2004, Jason joined our Sales Team and working with a variety of corporate clients that include, Fandango, Mitsubishi, Google, Yamaha, and many large scales festivals.  Jason’s “ground up” knowledge of the industry and specifically the company makes him an important part of the team from sales and planning to marketing and operations with a focus not only his events but events companywide logistics and execution of events.
